Crescent Global to launch Cyber Terrorism product for Corporate and Government entities

Crescent Global, the political and special risks Bahrain based Lloyd’s reinsurance broker, unveiled it will be launching a Cyber Terrorism product to assist major corporations and governments protect themselves from cyber attack.
The product which is being backed by the Lloyd’s market, will indemnify assureds for losses arising from hacking, malicious damage, loss of profit, and trade disruption.
As cyber crime continues to become a daily exposure and potentially a major operational risk, assureds have no choice but to start to look for ways to protect any unforeseen down-side from the compromise of their IT systems.
Mr. Jamil Bahou, Chairman and Managing Director of the Crescent Global group had this to say, ‘’Computer crime is not a new cover, and has been around for some time. However, we believe not enough awareness has been created for these exposures in the MENA region and we intend on marketing our new product to our clients across the region.’
